UV DTF Gang Sheets โ FAQs
What is a UV DTF gang sheet?
A UV DTF gang sheet allows you to combine multiple custom designs onto one sheet for printing. UV DTF transfers are full-color, adhesive-backed decals designed for hard surfaces. They're perfect for logos, branding, cups, tumblers, and promotional products.
How do I build my UV DTF gang sheet?
Use our Gang Sheet Builder to upload, resize, duplicate, and arrange your designs. Fit multiple graphics onto one sheet to maximize your space. Already have a completed layout? You can also upload your pre-built UV DTF gang sheet directly.
What surfaces can UV DTF transfers be applied to?
UV DTF transfers work best on clean, smooth, hard surfaces such as glass, stainless steel, metal, ceramic, acrylic, and certain plastics. They're great for tumblers, cups, jars, packaging, and promotional items. Avoid fabric, silicone, rubber, and rough or heavily textured surfaces. Always test unfamiliar materials before production.
How do I apply UV DTF transfers?
Clean and completely dry your surface. Carefully remove the backing, position your transfer, and press firmly using your fingers or a squeegee. Slowly peel away the clear carrier film, leaving your design behind. Once applied, transfers generally cannot be repositioned, so align carefully before pressing.
Do UV DTF transfers require a heat press or cutting?
No! UV DTF transfers require no heat press, cutting machine, or weeding. Your designs arrive ready to apply using pressure. Simply peel, position, press, and remove the carrier film.
Can I print detailed logos, lettering, and complex designs?
Yes! UV DTF printing supports full-color logos, lettering, and detailed graphics without traditional contour cutting. However, extremely thin lines, tiny text, and disconnected details may be difficult to transfer. For best results, use artwork with sufficiently thick lines and readable text.
What file format and resolution should I use?
We recommend high-resolution PNG artwork with a transparent background at 300 DPI at your desired print size. Make sure your graphics are clean, properly sized, and free of unwanted backgrounds. Designs are printed as submitted, so review your artwork carefully before ordering.
Can UV DTF transfers print white ink?
Yes! UV DTF printing uses white ink to support vibrant, full-color designs, including on dark surfaces. White elements can be included in your artwork. Make sure areas you want transparent have no background.
Are UV DTF transfers waterproof and scratch-resistant?
UV DTF transfers offer excellent water resistance and good scratch resistance when properly applied. They're designed for long-lasting decoration on compatible surfaces. However, abrasive cleaning, harsh chemicals, extreme temperatures, and heavy wear can damage the transfer.
Are UV DTF transfers dishwasher or microwave safe?
No. For best results, hand wash decorated drinkware with mild soap and a soft cloth. Avoid dishwashers, microwaves, soaking, and abrasive scrubbers. Allow at least 24 hours after application before washing. Do not apply transfers to surfaces that directly contact food or beverages.
Can UV DTF transfers be used on clothing?
No. UV DTF transfers are designed for hard surfaces, not flexible fabrics. For T-shirts, hoodies, and other apparel, use our regular DTF heat transfers instead.
Do you review artwork before printing?
We print artwork as submitted. Please double-check your resolution, dimensions, spelling, transparency, and layout before placing your order. If we notice an obvious printing issue, we may contact you, but artwork adjustments and corrections are not automatically included.
